“The nose is orchard fruit fresh, the palate is dry and refreshing with citrus, red apple and orange that stays vibrant throughout thanks to lively limey acidity. It matched well with an order of mixed sushi rolls and sashimi. 88 pts”

Winemaking: We hand harvested and sorted across our vibrating sorting table. 25% of the stemmed grapes were skin fermented with wild yeast for 2-3 days, then pressed to give more depth and texture to the final wine. The two lots were blended collaboratively with Ann Sperling and Julie Peglau who chose to include a tiny percentage of Riesling from our 1978 planting.
“This light and lively, slightly sper…itzy wine is a 50/50 blend of the obscure perle of csaba grape, and slightly more familiar bacchus. Ann Sperling, one of Canada's most famous winemakers, makes this from the biodynamically-farmed, limestone-laced Kelowna land that her grandparents settled more than 150 years ago. You can think of this as a local spin on northern Italy's Moscato d'Asti. Mid-sweet and light (only 7.9 degrees alcohol), this is all fragrant roses, perfumed honeycrisp apple, pink grapefruit and gingerale. Acidity is grapefruit laced and ample to keep this sweetie lively. Pair with pavlova, or sweeter brunch dishes.”
“Pretty tasty wine for $20, it combines estate Pinot Noir and Marechal Foch from vines that average 30 years old. The nose shows black cherries, black currants, anise, subtle spice and cedar. It’s soft and supple on the palate with more red fruits and underlying currants, plums and spice accents.” 88pts
