Order our Natural Amber Pinot Gris now! This wine sells out fast every year. Pinot Gris whole clusters and stemmed grapes are fermented with wild yeast, and undergo wild malolactic conversion, taking sugars and malic acid to complete dryness. We press the must and let it settle, rather than fining or filtering, and do not ameliorate with additives, such as sulphites. It is not an expression of a vessel, but a savory expression of the complete Pinot Gris grape adapted over 20 years to our site.
Enjoy this organic four pack of Sperling wines, curated especially for the longer, warmer Spring days ahead. These wines will go great with Easter dinner (ham, turkey, vegan, you name it!) Order early as inventory is limited.
Try our NEW natural, orange wine called FLINT! Our Vidal grapes, grown in The Labyrinth vineyard were hand-harvested on October 30, 2021 in ideal conditions. Whole cluster fermented, pressed after 25 days on skins and stems and allowed to settle for 3.5 months without fining, filtering, or added sulphites. It is completely dry and alive. It will evolve and change almost continuously. Taste the Labyrinth!

"This has become my favourite pizza wine or other casual meals. It's lively and fresh with lots of mouth filling yet light flavours." Winemaker, Ann Sperling.
“There is no dosage in this directly motivational Blanc de Blancs and plenty of potential palate weight with thanks to 30 months spent on the lees. There is something top single-vineyard cru Alsatian about the savoury and searing coolness in this style, as if it were more than just the sum of chardonnay parts, like some hypothetical pinot blanc and perhaps auxerrois. There is some reductiveness, a lovely washed rind cheese, lemon scrape melted into curd and fine bitters. The flavours are really quite lemony tart. Striking really....you have to admire Ann Sperling's "decision based on lees contact time." ... 92 pts
“Honeyed, creamy, vibrant. Vision is one of the new label series by Sperling Vineyards. This golden-hued Chardy doles out sweet peaches and yellow apples, honey and juicy lemony aromas. It is creamy and equally bright with no sharp edges. Honeyed and vibrant with impressive purity and a mineral textured finish. Delicious and lengthy; a notable wine.”
“Ann Sperling has always pushed then widened the envelope for more natural organic, wild ferment wines in Canada. Her Vision series in B.C. gives her more experimental and holistic tendencies a home. This pinot gris was 95% whole cluster fermented on its skins, drawing out the grape's natural colour and the stemmy orange. It has a generous quite herbal, tea, camphor and dried citrus peel nose. It is medium bodied, notably dry and quite bitter with sharp acids. A very savory (non fruity) wine with good complexity and length. Oh and by the way, it throws a heavy sediment. Tasted April 2020.”
"2018 was an exception year for Riesling so we decided to show it two ways. The DRY version is a mouthful of WOW. Wrapped in our Vision label, you know you can enjoy now or cellar this distinctive wine." Head Winemaker, Ann Sperling
"It's black-tie all around. Our polished shoes gleam as we step onto the grey marble floors of the mansion. A bowl of green pears sits on a steel table in the middle of the foyer, and a crystal chandelier twinkles overhead. You catch the faint scent of lemon peel and lillies, as our host leans in for welcoming kisses on the cheek. You hand her a bottle with a silver ribbon tied on the neck - a notable gift for a notable occasion. Tonight will be a night to remember."
